mark left early, dropping me off at Axminster and I boarded the first bus to Bridport to check it out and walk back.

I walked all morning before stopping for whitebait at the Anchor pub in Seatown. Then jumped on the bus the rest of the way back to meet up with the next curious visitors

1st night.

So the purchase is completed midday today, 7th July 2011.

To celibrate I went down with Mark Maunsell-Thomas and we opened a bottle of "devon kir" aka cider with raspberry, brought from the river cottage cafe, locally and organically made.

We camped on a beautiful evening full of hope for the future.

D DAy approaches

So, the 4.76 acres i bought at the symond & sampsons auction is due to complete on thursday 7th june 2011. I am booking a train ticket now to visit the site.

i looked at it for half an hour the morning of the auction and have stared at my photos lovingly ever since
